Bullgod Calls Out R2bees and Efya for Not Capitalizing on Wizkid’s International Stages Despite Smoking And Drinking With Him
Popular Ghanaian artiste manager, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, known as Bullgod in showbiz circles, has recently taken to social media to express his disappointment in R2bees and Efya. He questioned why these two highly-rated acts have failed to seize international opportunities like their close friend, Wizkid.
In a post sighted on his Facebook page, Bulldog alleged that whenever Wizkid visits Ghana, R2bees and Efya would spend their time smoking weed and drinking alcohol with him, but they haven’t utilized their relationship with him to explore the international music market.

“So R2Bees and Efya will smoke, drink and chill with Wizkid anytime he’s in Ghana but can’t join him on international stages and showcase their talents to the world? Again, Ghana missed out on national duties at the 62,850-capacity Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, yesterday. What is wrong with us?” Bulldog questioned.
The post came in the aftermath of Wizkid’s highly successful concert at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where over 60,000 fans came out to enjoy the songs of the acclaimed Nigerian musician. While Bulldog’s sentiments are legitimate, it’s worth noting that King Promise represented Ghana at the event and performed on stage, offering a glimpse of Ghana’s talent on an international platform.
This incident has sparked a conversation within the music industry about the need for Ghanaian artists to actively pursue global opportunities and make use of their connections to gain exposure on the international stage. As the music industry becomes increasingly interconnected, the potential for collaborations and global recognition grows, and artists should strive to tap into these avenues.
It remains to be seen how R2bees and Efya will respond to Bulldog’s remarks and if this will serve as a catalyst for them to explore international avenues in their music careers. In any case, it highlights the importance of seizing opportunities and using one’s network to expand horizons in the ever-evolving global music landscape.
