Despite initially exploring acting after completing school, Maya Blu’s passion for music eventually took center stage. She decided to participate in the prestigious MTN Hitmaker competition, hoping to showcase her talents to a broader audience. However, her journey wasn’t without setbacks. Maya Blu revealed that she faced disappointment when she was evicted from the competition twice, once during the top 12 phase and later in the semi-finals.
Undeterred by these setbacks, Maya Blu’s perseverance caught the attention of Richie Mensah, the CEO of Lynxx Entertainment. After her elimination, Richie approached her and whispered an invitation to visit his office the following day. Intrigued and hopeful, Maya Blu took the opportunity and went to meet Richie.
During their meeting, Richie discussed a potential agreement, recognizing Maya Blu’s immense talent and potential. This pivotal moment led to Maya Blu signing with Lynxx Entertainment, joining the ranks of renowned Ghanaian musicians such as Kuami Eugene, KiDi, and Adina.
