Richie Mensah disclosed that Lynx Entertainment operates on a strategy where everything concerning the artist and his brand have been broken into smaller departments being carried out by separate individuals.
He unraveled that the label has business development managers who decides all the businesses within and outside the label. These people do all the negotiations and decide which business is good and bad and the type of business to go into.
There is an administrative manager who handles all the finances, administrative and legal work so the artist wouldn’t have to think of any of these dealings.
The A&R department which is the Artist and
Repertoire department caters for the welfare of the artist thus his daily outings including moving from studio to studio, shooting of videos and granting of interviews.
There is also a promo team that’s responsible for marketing and publicity of the artist, while the branding team seeks to solidifying the brand of the artist through photo and video shoots. There is further the styling team that’s manages the look of the artist.
This according to the artist manager puts not much pressure on the artist whiles they are the label because all these are being handled for them.
But things will surely change when they leave the label because they have to do everything on their own which will affect their productivity and eventually reduce them to ashes.
He pleaded on Ghanaians and all music lovers to always take it lightly on artists who quit the label.
