National Service Scheme Deploys 20,478 Nurses and Midwives for 2024/2025 Service Year

The National Service Scheme (NSS) has taken a significant step in bolstering Ghana’s healthcare system by deploying twenty thousand, four hundred and seventy-eight (20,478) nurses and midwives for the 2024/2025 service year. This press release, issued on Monday, May 6, 2024, outlines the procedures for validation, registration, and commencement of service for these healthcare professionals.

In adherence to the directives from NSS Management, deployed nurses and midwives are urged to follow a meticulous process:

  1. Check Placement: Visit the NSS website (www.nss.gov.gh) to confirm placement and print the appointment letter.
  2. Endorsement and Booking: Proceed to the designated place of posting for endorsement of the appointment letter, and book an appointment online for registration.
  3. Validation and Registration: Attend the assigned NSS Regional Validation and Registration Centre with the endorsed appointment letter and a valid ID card to complete the registration process. Regional validation and registration are scheduled to commence on Monday, May 13, 2024, and end on Monday, June 10, 2024, at all centers nationwide.
  4. Commencement of Service: Upon completion of validation and registration, all deployed nurses and midwives are directed to commence their mandatory national service on Monday, May 20, 2024.
