In a display of camaraderie and support, the Tamale College of Education chapter of the Tertiary Students’ Confederacy Of The New Patriotic Party (TESCON) has extended a helping hand to the Tamale College of Education branch of the Dagomba Students Association (DASA). The generous donation of 15 bags of sachet water was made to assist DASA in their upcoming Bugum week celebration, fostering a stronger bond between the two student groups.

The Bugum Festival, also known as Buɣim Chuɣu, holds a significant place in Dagomba culture as the first festival of the year. Celebrated on the ninth day of the first month in the Dagomba lunar calendar, the festival commemorates the “loss of a chief’s son” from ancient times. It serves as an occasion for reflection, cultural displays, and communal solidarity among the Dagomba people.
