NPP Begins Vetting of Presidential Aspirants for 2024 General Elections

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is set to kickstart the vetting process for its presidential aspirants on Monday, July 3, in preparation for the upcoming 2024 general elections. The party’s National Presidential Vetting Committee, led by Secretary Evans Nimako, has urged all potential candidates to take note of the schedule and attend the vetting process as required.

On Monday, July 3, the scrutiny will begin with three prominent aspirants: Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten, former Minister of Trade; businessman Kwadwo Poku; and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. The following day, July 4, Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko, former Energy Minister; Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, former NPP General Secretary; and Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Member of Parliament for Assin Central, will face the vetting committee.

The remaining candidates will undergo the vetting process on July 5 and 6, as indicated in the letter issued by the committee.
