Kobby Kyei’s Impactful Information On Social Media For Young People At Y-Reach Training Workshop
Since positivity is my goal as a young blogger and a content creator, I traveled all the way from Wa to enjoy the opportunities National Youth Authority together with UNESCO organized for young bloggers, social media influencers and local leaders in a workshop tagged ‘Y-REACH’ at Koforidua in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
The workshop focuses on Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR). Organizations like Legal Aid commission, Domestic Violence and Victim Support Units (DOVVSU) and Religious leaders shared their views on sexual and reproductive health.
As a blogger I also picked some key information shared by Ghanaian blogger Kobby Kyei that can help the youth on content creation.
Kobby Kyei’s impactful information on social media for young people at Y-Reach Training Projects involved the sharing of valuable insights, tips, and guidance on how to utilize the social media effectively and responsibly. Here are some areas where Kobby Kyei focused on his efforts:
- Digital Literacy: Kobby encouraged bloggers, social media influencers to educate young people on the basics of navigating social media platforms, understanding privacy settings, and recognizing and avoiding online scams and cyberbullying.
- Personal Branding: He advised us to provide guidance on how to build a positive personal brand on social media, including creating engaging content, developing a consistent posting schedule, and interacting with followers authentically.
- Career Opportunities: Kobby Kyei Highlighted the various career opportunities available in the digital space, such as content creation, social media management, influencer marketing, digital entrepreneurship and going into health blogging since most people don’t value that.
- Online Safety: Raising awareness about the importance of online safety and security, including protecting personal information, avoiding sharing sensitive content, and reporting inappropriate behavior.
- Health Awareness: Discussing the impact of social media on health and well-being, and providing strategies for maintaining a healthy relationship with technology, such as setting boundaries and practicing digital detoxes.
- Positive Impact and Social Change: Kobby kyei advised Influencers and bloggers to encourage young people to use their social media platforms as a tool for positive impact and social change, such as raising awareness about important issues, advocating for causes they believe in, and promoting kindness and inclusivity online.
Through his work at Y-Reach Training Projects, Kobby Kyei empowered young people to harness the power of social media in constructive and meaningful ways, ultimately helping the young people to navigate the digital world with confidence and purpose.
