Ghanaian Gospel Artiste MOGmusic Makes History as First Ghanaian Gospel Artist Admitted to Grammy Academy

Multiple award-winning Ghanaian gospel musician, MOGmusic, has achieved a significant milestone in his career as he becomes the first Ghanaian gospel artist to be admitted into the prestigious Grammy Academy. The Grammy Board recently approved his membership, marking a groundbreaking achievement for the celebrated artist.

Reacting to the news, MOGmusic expressed his excitement, stating, “This is a dream come true. This is the pinnacle every musician wishes to get to. I am glad to be putting Ghana on the map once again.” This recognition from the Grammy Academy serves as a motivation for him to continue his remarkable journey as a gospel musician.

Earlier this year, MOGmusic elevated his music career to new heights with the release of his latest album, titled ‘Koinonia Phase II.’ The album is a follow-up to the successful ‘Koinonia Phase I’ released last year, which blessed the industry with hit songs like “Grace,” “Mala,” “Your Presence,” “Almighty God,” “Choral Praise,” “Glory to the Lamb,” and “There’s Power.”

‘Koinonia Phase II’ features eight powerful songs and includes collaborations with renowned gospel musicians such as Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Pastor Kojo Frimpong, Ps Shadrack Mensah Kwesi, Joey Saff, and Kobby Salm. Some of the notable tracks on the album are “Nyankopong,” “Glorious,” “Holy Chant,” “We Cry Yahweh” (ft. Pastor Kojo Frimpong), “Be Lifted Medley” (ft. Donnie McClurkin), “Covenant Keeper,” “Yesu” (ft. Joey Saff and Kobby Salm), and “African Praise” (ft. Ps Shadrack Mensah Kwesi).

MOGmusic’s musical journey includes numerous chart-topping songs, including the award-winning “Be Lifted,” “Elohim,” “Living God,” and many more. Apart from his contributions to the gospel music industry, he also serves as a pastor at the Royalhouse Chapel International. Additionally, he has been honored with the Best Male Vocalist of the Year award at the VGMA (Vodafone Ghana Music Awards) twice in a row, further solidifying his position as a talented and respected artist.
