#AtingaKhebabAThon: Atinga Nsobila Joel Begins His Guinness World Records Longest Barbecue Marathon by an Individual

Atinga Nsobila Joel, a resident of the Upper East Region, has initiated his quest to break the Guinness World Record for the longest Barbecue marathon by an individual.

Commencing on April 11, 2024, Joel’s endeavor is set to continue until April 14, 2024, totaling 90 hours, aiming to surpass the current record set by an American at 80 hours in 2014.

For Joel, this challenge holds deep significance, driven by his firsthand experience of how the Khebab business has been a vital source of livelihood for his family and community. He seeks to elevate its importance and highlight its potential to alleviate unemployment in Ghana.

“Khebab making is more than just a culinary art; it’s a livelihood for many families in northern Ghana,” says Joel. “Through this event, I aim to increase public appreciation for Khebab making and inspire young people to see it as a viable means of supporting themselves and their communities.”

Atinga calls for support from all Ghanaians to make his Guinness World Record attempt a resounding success.
