St. John’s Junior High School Marks 68th Anniversary with Grand Celebration

Bolgatanga, June 24, 2024 – The St. John’s Junior High School in the Bolgatanga municipal district joyously celebrated its 68th anniversary with a grand event, despite the heavy rains that forced a change of venue from the school grounds to the local Social Center.
The celebration, which also marks the school’s patron feast day, St. John the Baptist, started with a Eucharistic celebration at the Cathedral church to give thanks to God. This day is also used to pay tribute to the school’s founder, the late Rev. Fr. John Baptist Asodena.
The event was packed with exciting activities, including vibrant cultural dances performed by the school’s cultural troupe and two energetic dance crews comprised of students. The event was graced by a host of dignitaries, reflecting the significance of the occasion.
