Fire gust multipurpose facility at Lassia-Tuolu SHS in the Wa West District of the Upper West Region
Fire razed down a multipurpose hall at the Lassia-Tuolu Senior High School in the Wa West District on Saturday night.
833 students have been sent home because of the outbreak.
The Upper West Regional Minister Dr. Hafiz, The DCE, the Regional Director of Education Service, and officials from the Ghana Police and Ghana National Fire Service have since visited the scene to ascertain the situation and to commiserate with the authorities and students.
The Facility serves as the dining hall, Kitchen, and exam hall as well as the assembly hall but has been raised down and all properties were destroyed by the fire.
Valuables worth several thousands of cedis have been destroyed including the dining desks, chairs, foodstuff, public address systems, and other.
