Chioma And I Are Officially Married – Davido confirms
Heavyweight Nigerian singer and songwriter, David Adedeji Adeleke better known as Davido has confirmed marrying his longtime girlfriend, Chef Chioma.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with content creator and actress, Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, the ‘Blow My Mind’ singer revealed he was now a family man.
“Just being away, you know I have had a lot to think about definitely. Time to rest, reflect on a lot of family time and time to make music again,” he said
He continued, “You know, I remade the album. Before I went on a break I actually had an album ready. I had a tour ready. You know we did the album. I travelled. It was crazy. I’m married. A lot of different things but yeah, we are ready now to get back on the road.
It was earlier reported in November last year that the singer secretly got married to Chioma a month after the death of their only son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.
According to the report, the traditional wedding, which was done in her father’s house, had few family friends in attendance with no cameras allowed. And because of the tragedy surrounding their marriage last year, Davido could not perform his Umunna rites. As such, according to the Igbo culture, he and Chioma weren’t fully married.
Meanwhile, the Davido Music World boss has returned from his break with a 17-track album ‘Timeless’ featuring Angelique Kidjo, Morravey, Focalistic, The Cavemen and a slew of other top stars.
