KNUST Beats 1,303 Universities To Rank Number 1 Best University in the World for Quality Education in 2023

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi has secured the top position as the best university in the world for providing quality education. The announcement was made in the prestigious 2023 Times Higher Education Impact Ranking, which was published on June 1st, 2023.

The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings are globally recognized performance tables that assess universities based on their alignment with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These rankings utilize carefully calibrated indicators to offer a comprehensive evaluation of universities in four key areas: research, stewardship, outreach, and teaching. The 2023 Impact Rankings, now in its fifth edition, encompassed 1,591 universities from 112 countries/regions.

Leading the global rankings with an impressive score of 93.1 in the category of quality education (SDG 4) is the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi. This outstanding achievement places KNUST ahead of 1,303 universities from around the world, solidifying its position as the premier destination for quality education globally.
