Perez Chapel Declares One-Week Fasting and Prayers Over Agyinasare-Nogokpo Impasse
Perez Chapel International has taken a proactive step to address the recent controversy surrounding its founder, Archbishop Charles Agyinasare, by declaring a one-week fasting and prayer session for all members. This decision comes after an invitation was extended to Archbishop Agyinasare by the traditional rulers of Nogokpo, a town in the Volta Region of Ghana.
The impasse arose when opinion leader Nufialaga Mawufemor Korbla Nonyigbey accused Archbishop Agyinasare of showing no remorse in his second sermon, where he referred to Nogokpo as the headquarters of demons in the Volta Region. Despite the archbishop’s subsequent apology to the chiefs and people of Nogokpo, tensions remained high, leading to his summons to appear before the traditional council within 14 days.
