Young Artistes Should Learn from Legends for Artistic Growth – Nero X
Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Nero X, is calling on young artistes to seek inspiration and guidance from experienced musicians in order to enhance their artistic abilities. In a recent collaboration with Ghanaian Hiplife Legend Tinny on his latest single, “Medo Wiase,” Nero X was struck by Tinny’s musical depth and believes that he deserves recognition as one of Ghana’s top rap artistes.
Nero X, renowned for his hit single “Osey,” emphasized the importance of learning from seasoned veterans to improve one’s craft. He expressed admiration for these legends and believes that the younger generation has much to gain from their expertise. He stated, “Working with Tinny was amazing, and as for me, sincerely, I think he must be celebrated, and I have always looked up to him. We, the young artistes, have a lot to learn from these legends if we want to improve our craft.”
The Hiplife musician further emphasized that many of these veteran artistes still have much to offer and are not done contributing to the industry. He encourages young artists to seek their guidance and believes that Ghanaian music will flourish as a result.
Looking ahead, Nero X revealed his plans to release an album titled “Two Phase.” The recently released single, “Medo Wiase,” is part of the ‘Phase Two’ album and is available for streaming on various platforms.
Nero X, who rose to fame as the winner of the maiden edition of Viasat 1 TV’s Born Starz, has collaborated with notable artists such as Teephlow, KK Fosu, Guru, FlowKing Stone, Tinny, and Okyeame Kwame. His discography includes hit songs like ‘Nyame Dedaw,’ ‘Nipa Nua,’ and ‘Yawa dey.’
