GBC Radio Upper West Wins Entertainment Programme of the Year For Upper West | OneMuzikGh
Ghana Broadcasting Corporation GBC, Upper West Region chapter has been adjust the winner of 2018/2019 entertainment programme of the year for the Upper West region.
Presenting the award to the station the Programme Manager Madam Gladys Ketty Wein lauded the crew for the hardwork. She also advise journalist in the Region to practice the profession professionally. Madam Wein urged journalist not to relent on their duties saying they must desist from personal attacks and mischiefs reporting. She said GBC has not come to the media fraternity to compete with others but to educate the public, entertain and inform the people in the region to take informed decision that will bring development to the region. She was speaking in an interview with Dennis Bebane during the presentation of the award to the station. The award night held at the national theatre in Accra was organised by Foklex Media an awarding scheme to award hardworking Radio and Television Presenters across the country. The Host of the program Isaac Kanyiri expressed his happiness about the award and dedicate it to the listeners of Radio Upper West adding that it is through their support and listenership that brought the victory. He appealed to the funs to keep listening and supporting the programme saying without them the show will not be able to achieve its objectives. Mr Kanyiri said the programme is aim at promoting the entertainment industry in the region and called on all to help grow the industry. A panelist of the programme and CEO of GH go Oline.com, Hillia Mashood Gbene debunked claims by a sister station in the competition that the Entertainment Hub do not deserved the award. According to him the programme has gone through the required processes, including vetting and voting and was emerged as winner. He called on the public to disregard such rumors. The Entertainment Hub Also known as E-Hub is a weekly programme ran on Radio Upper West every Saturday from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
