Emotional Moment: Sarkodie Breaks Down on Stage, Hails Kweku Smoke as Best Rapper

Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie recently shared his excitement about the rising talent of young Ghanaian artist Kweku Smoke.
During Kweku Smoke’s Revival Concert on December 18, 2024, at Ghud Park in Accra, Sarkodie, who made a surprise appearance, expressed how he had believed in Kweku Smoke from the very first moment they met. Sarkodie described the “Holy Ghost” hitmaker as the epitome of patience and hard work, recognizing his unwavering determination to succeed in the music industry.
“I came out to support my boy, Kweku Smoke. The first time he came to my house and I heard his song, I recorded three verses on the spot. That’s the first time I’ve ever done that for an artist, and it should tell you how good Kweku Smoke is,” Sarkodie shared.
He continued by saying, “Tonight, I’m not here to perform. I’m here to tell you how good Kweku Smoke is. This boy has been through a lot. He is the definition of patience and hard work. From day one to now, he’s been grinding, and I have tears in my eyes.”
Emotional during his speech, Sarkodie also declared that Kweku Smoke will be the best rapper of 2025, offering a heartfelt hug to the young artist in support.
“Next year, Kweku Smoke is the best rapper of the year,” he affirmed.
