Akuapem Poloo’s Viral Dance Video In Mecca Sparks Concern Among Muslim Leaders Post-Umrah Performance

In the wake of Akuapem Poloo’s widely circulated dance video following her Umrah performance, Muslim leaders have issued a stern warning to the Ghanaian socialite. The video, which surfaced shortly after her participation in the sacred Islamic ritual in Mecca, has stirred controversy within the Muslim community.

Poloo, who faced challenges during her Umrah, including a near-accident while attempting to touch the Kaaba, shared her journey on social media, garnering both support and criticism. However, her subsequent dance video to Criss Waddle’s song “Cyco” has drawn sharp rebuke from Muslim leaders.

Imam Mujahid Yahuza Ismail Obeng, director of I.C.O.D.H.S, admonished Poloo for her actions, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan. He emphasized the importance of adhering to Islamic norms and directives, urging Poloo to refrain from behavior deemed inappropriate in Islam, such as public dancing and close contact with men.
