Remembering Ebony Reigns Five Years On After Her Painful Demise

It’s been Five years since the news broke that songstress Ebony passed away. She had died in an accident on the Kumasi Sunyani road while traveling to Accra.

The nation shed tears when the news broke on February 8, 2018. Her peers lost a sister, her parents lost a daughter, and the industry lost a gem.

This video shows her parents paying their respects to her by visiting her grave at the Osu Cemetery on Wednesday, February 8, 2023.

Ghanaians have also taken to social media today to honor her memory and pay tribute to the talented late singer who provided them with numerous hits.

The late dancehall and afro-pop sensation Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng aka Ebony Reigns was crowned Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the year in 2018.

Ebony Reigns became the first female artist since the VGMA’s inception to win the most prestigious slot and the ultimate prize posthumously.
