McCoy College of Education crowns ‘Face of McCoy’ 2024

The McCoy College of Education, Nadowli, has crowned a new Queen and King in this year’s ‘Face of McCoy’. This event is the 8th edition since its inception and it gets better each year.
Eleven talented, elegant and eloquent ladies and gentlemen on Saturday September 14th 2024, keenly contested for the prestigious crown. The ladies and gentlemen, all level 200 students exhibited their talents in formation dances, talent display, cultural dances, speeches and were subjected to questioning from the panel of judges.

After the preliminary rounds, all contestants were called up stage, out of which emerged the final three from both ladies and gentlemen. At the end of the excitement and suspense, Awintita Sandra (Lady) and Oduro Charles (Gentleman) emerged winner of the competition, with Beatemaa Georgina (Lady), Boakyi Christian (Gentleman) and Twenewaa Felicia (Lady),Lonko Pius (Gentleman ) emerging 1st and 2nd runners up respectively.


The winners went away with cash price of Ghc.350.00 plus a gas cylinder,glass plaques trophy as well as certificate each.
The first and second runners up received Ghc.250.00,standing fan,certificate and Ghc.200.00, kettle with certificate respectively.
Boatemaa Georgina (1st runner up) picked up the Miss Catwalk prize while Awintita Sabdra (Lady.Winner) and Lonko Pius (Gent. 2nd runner up) most eloquent.


Ibrahim Samson, the first king of ‘Face of McCoy,’ attended the event and expressed his satisfaction with the organization, despite a few technical challenges. He suggested to the SRC board that future editions, they should consider expanding the campus celebration to invite other colleges to join in the SRC Week festivities.
