Educational Seminar at Wa Technical Senior High School | Porducare Touchlife in partnership with The WillMa Youth Club

On February 22, 2025, Porducare TouchLife, in partnership with The Wilma Youth Club, responded to a request from Wa Technical Senior High School to engage students in an educational seminar focused on the importance of education and career guidance. The program brought together over 500 students, creating an interactive and insightful session.
The seminar covered three key areas:
The Importance of Education – Students were taken through how education shapes their future, emphasizing education as a lifelong journey and a powerful tool for transformation. They were encouraged to see education as an investment that empowers them to change their lives and communities.
RIASEC Career Assessment – Each student participated in the RIASEC test, designed to help them discover their interests and align them with suitable career paths. Volunteers assisted those who had difficulty understanding the test, ensuring that every student could complete it.
Understanding the Results – After the test, facilitators explained what the students’ results meant for their career choices. This helped them connect their strengths and interests to real-world career opportunities.
Inspiring Storytelling – To reinforce the session’s message, a relatable story was shared about a young girl who lost focus on her education due to peer pressure, leading to poor academic performance. This resonated deeply with the students, reminding them of the consequences of distractions and unhealthy relationships.

The session concluded with a Q&A segment, where students engaged the team with insightful questions. Volunteers played a crucial role in ensuring order, guiding students through activities, and making the learning process smooth. At the end, students shared what they had learned, and school leaders expressed their gratitude for the impactful session.
The success of the program was made possible by seven dedicated volunteers; four from Porducare TouchLife and three from The WillMa Youth Club. Each of them brought their A-game, ensuring that every student received the support and guidance needed. Their commitment and teamwork contributed immensely to the overall impact of the event.
The seminar was a success, equipping students with practical knowledge on education, career choices, and personal development. The feedback from students showed a renewed sense of purpose and motivation to take their education seriously.
