Asakia Foundation Champions Education with Generous Donations to Marginalized Communities
In a remarkable display of commitment to education and community empowerment, the Asakia Foundation embarked on a four-day journey from November 22nd to November 25th, spreading hope and resources to marginalized schools in the Upper East Region of Ghana. With the overarching theme of “Empowering Marginalized Communities Through Quality Education,” the foundation’s tireless efforts aimed to uplift and support students in underserved areas.
The journey began with a visit to Kolbia Primary 1 and Kolbia Junior High School 2, nestled in the heart of Sumbrungu. Here, the foundation generously donated 400 exercise books, 80 reading books, and 10 dictionaries to each school, equipping students with essential learning materials to enhance their educational experience. Beyond the tangible donations, students were also treated to invaluable lessons on the importance of education and the perils of streetism, delivered with passion and empathy by the foundation’s founder, Miss Asakia Hawawu Hanaan.
As the journey continued, the foundation’s outreach extended to Atampurul Primary/JHS, where similar donations were met with enthusiasm and gratitude from both students and educators.
