Aduanige Launches Nongre Foundation and Upper East Schools Debate with Great Success

Bolgatanga, June 25, 2024 – Aduniage Mba Rejoice, the first runner-up of Miss Upper East Ghana 2020 and finalist in Ghana Most Beautiful 2023, has successfully launched her two significant initiatives: the Nongre Foundation and the Upper East Schools Debate. The event was held at the Upper East Regional House of Chiefs auditorium in Bolgatanga and brought together dignitaries from across the region.

Among the notable attendees were the Overlord of the Kasaug Traditional Area, Zug-Raan Naaba Asigri Abugrago Azoka II, the Regent of Kusanab Atia Ayeebo Maurice, the President of the Regional House of Chiefs, Pe Ditundini Adiali Ayagitam III Chiana Pio, the Upper East Regional Minister, Hon. Hafiz Bin Salih, and several other high-profile figures.

During the launch, many dignitaries delivered speeches commending Aduaniage for her visionary leadership and the importance of such initiatives.

In her address, Aduaniage expressed her gratitude and outlined her vision for the Nongre Foundation. She emphasized the importance of fostering inter-ethnic peace, addressing environmental challenges, and empowering the youth through education.

“My journey into touching lives started in 2019, right after senior high school,” Aduaniage said. “I saw the need to add my voice and service to helping people in deprived communities and students understand their purpose and goals. Today, I am thrilled to launch the Nongre Foundation, an initiative close to my heart and vital to our future.”

She further highlighted the foundation’s mission to drive positive social change, promote sustainable practices, and create a harmonious world where every individual can thrive.

The launch also saw the introduction of the Upper East Schools Debate, the first initiative under the Nongre Foundation. The debate aims to enhance students’ critical thinking and public speaking skills, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and intellectual growth.

Eight schools are set to compete in the regional debate, addressing thought-provoking topics relevant to the region’s challenges.

The participating schools are Bolgatanga Girls Senior High School, Notre Dame Senior High School, Tempane Senior High School, Gowrie Senior High School, Kusanaba Senior High School, Chiana Senior High School, Kongo Senior High School, and Bawku Senior High School.

Aduaniage called for support through donations, volunteerism, and partnerships to make the foundation’s vision a reality. She thanked the sponsors, collaborators, and media partners who played a significant role in making the launch successful.

The Nongre Foundation, with its tagline “Nature’s Hope,” is set to address pressing issues such as social discord, environmental degradation, and educational barriers. It aims to create a sustainable and inclusive future for all.

The event concluded with an overwhelming sense of hope and excitement for the future, as the community rallied behind Aduaniage’s inspiring initiatives.
