Accra, Ghana – September 28, 2024: Reggae and dancehall sensation Stonebwoy has once again solidified his status as one of the biggest names in African music, winning the prestigious Artiste of the Year award at the 6th edition of the 3Music Awards. The event, which took place at the La Palm Convention Center, Accra, saw Stonebwoy claim multiple accolades, including Album of the Year for his acclaimed 5th Dimension album, and Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year.
The competition for Artiste of the Year was fierce, with Stonebwoy beating top-tier artists such as Black Sherif, King Promise, Kuami Eugene, Medikal, Mr. Drew, Nacee, and Sarkodie. This victory, alongside his other wins, further cements his reign as a musical powerhouse.
The night saw electrifying performances from some of Ghana’s most beloved artists, including Kwaku Smoke, Mr. Drew, and Akwaboah, adding flair to the celebrations.
Among other major winners were KiDi, who won Best Collaboration, Olivetheboy with the Afrobeats/Afropop Song of the Year, and Sarkodie, who clinched the Hip Hop Song of the Year title. King Paluta, Amerado Burner, Lyrical Joe, and Amaarae also took home notable awards.
