One of the well-known Record labels in the Upper East Region, Shurum Empaya Music released a press after the release of qualified nominees for the second edition of the Upper East Music Awards.

The largely foretold historical awards scheme is about to set off with triumphant smiles on some applicants faces and scowled faces as some applicants are not nominated and some are nominated.

The Upper East Music Awards board released the list of nominees that met their requirements, hence are qualified to participate in this year’s awards.

However, several complaints were laid down by some Facebook users, fans of some artistes who were expecting to appear in some categories but unfortunately, their expectations could not met.

The Shurum Empaya general by the name High Spirit Seg is not exempted. His management decided to release a press registering their displeasure because one of their expectations was not met.

The management and team of Shurum Empaya would like to express their displeasure and not convinced with the decisions of the board of Upper East Music Awards (UEMA) for not nominating “CHEL PANGMA” a track by the Shurum Empaya General (High Spirit) for the best collaboration. The team could not understand why such discredit and bias decision from the board who claimed they will be neutral from day one. For this reason, High Spirit and his team (Shurum Empaya) are giving the board of the UEMA 24HRS to produce the reason for this bias decision, or we will advise ourselves on the next appropriate measure to be taken accordingly to end such bureaucracy, bias, disrespect and uncultured attitude in the Upper East Entertainment Industry.” The press reads.
