Northern Radio Awards 2022: Atanga Alex AKA Jah Bless Wins Big
At this year’s Northern Radio Awards, Jah Bless’s “Showbiz Hour” radio column on Dreamz FM was named the winner of the Entertainment Show category for his outstanding performance in the Northern Ghana showbiz industry.
The 2022 edition of the Northern Radio Awards was held on March 11, 2023, at the Bole Dubai in the Savannah Region, with the theme “Radio, The Truth Herald Voicing Authenticity The Northern Story.”
The young, hardworking radio personality, who was born Atanga Alex, outperformed other radio professionals from the five Northern regions; DJ Nagode of Bedren FM in the North East, Beatrice Anane of Pad FM in the Savannah Region, DJ Anada of Radio Waa in the Upper West Region, and Iddrisu Mubarak of Suhupieli Fm in the Northern Region.
Showbiz Hour, a Dreamz FM entertainment and pop culture segment, is hosted by Jah Bless, also known as “Celebrity Host.” He is a person who works hard, communicates well, and has a bright sense of style.
Artists, artists’ managers, and music stakeholders who have worked with him already anticipated that he would outperform his peers because of his prominence both on stage and on the radio.
He has over the couple of years projected youthful gifts, brought artistes near their fans, and engaged music darlings on the radio and on occasions across the district with his tantalizing appearance and incredible articulation.
Jah Bless, who has had the opportunity to interview mainstream artists such as Stonebwoy, Kelvyn Boy, Sista Afia, Wiyaala, Fancy Gadam, iOna Reine, Eno Barony, Maccasio, Rudeboy Ranking, Jay Will, and many others, appears to be controversial though he doesn’t harbor any ill will.
Jah Bless officially discovered his new talent in 2019 on Yem Radio, but it wasn’t until October 2022 that he and his team moved to Dreamz FM, where they still operate.
Because of his hard work, excellent communication skills, versatility, and dedication to performing at the highest level in the entertainment industry, he quickly rose to prominence in the region’s media.
