Awinbisit Asimiga, popularly known by his stage name Kay2Music, is a dynamic Ghanaian Afrobeat artist with roots deeply embedded in the Upper East Region. Born and raised in the town of Binaba in the Zebilla District, Kay2Music’s journey in life and music has taken him across regions and cultures, shaping him into the versatile artist he is today.
Early Life and Education
Kay2Music spent his formative years in Binaba, where he began primary school in Kusanaba before moving to Kumasi to further his education. He completed his senior high school education in 2007. Shortly after, he moved to Tema, Accra, where his passion for music flourished.
Music Career
Kay2Music’s journey into music started as early as 2006 while still in school. However, his first major breakthrough came in 2011 when he recorded his debut album, Love Your Friend, a trilingual masterpiece featuring songs in Kusasi, Twi, and English. Since then, he has recorded over 100 songs, showcasing his talent and cultural versatility.
Kay2Music’s music is a reflection of his roots and experiences, blending Afrobeat rhythms with heartfelt lyrics that celebrate his Kusasi heritage while appealing to a broader audience.

In 2024, Kay2Music is set to release his much-anticipated album titled Hess. The album comprises 10 tracks sung in Kusasi, Twi, and English, further cementing his dedication to representing his people and sharing his culture with the world.
