Reigning Happy Man Bitters – Upper East Music Awards Artiste Of The Year, Pandy Bobby has for the first time disclosed the approximate amount of money he invested into winning the award.
The talented singer and songwriter claims that he spent more than a whopping Ghc20,000 to win the award. “I can’t put a particular amount on how much I invested, but it is more than 20,000 cedis,” he underscored.
You might be asking why he invested such a huge sums into it, well, he said “It’s not about the money to me but the prestige and honour it brings. I have worked hard in the year under review, so I am worthy of that award.”
He added that the amount used wasn’t particularly from his pocket but from his fans and supporters “The money I used wasn’t mine but was sourced for funds from people to vote, coupled with my hard work to win.”
The ‘Alcohol’ hitmaker made the above revelation in a recent interview on A1 Radio in Bolgatanga, hosted by Ibrahim Aziz AKA DJ Lexis.
At the fourth Happy Man Bitters – Upper East Music Awards, which took place on December 30, 2022, at the Gnat Hall in Bolgatanga, Pandy Bobby emerged victorious as the Overall Artist of the Year.
Elvis, Stevo Atambire, Kilimore, StayBoy Sarauta, Nambawan, Rockcity, Zarious, Soorebia, and King Awaaga shared the category with him.
The AOTY win accompanied an undertaking asset of GHC 20,022.00 from Happy Man Bitters to directly enhance his music career, also, he would receive products from Charger Limited with possible opportunities of partnership with Charger Limited for mutual growth.
He also beat fierce competition to win the “Most Popular Song Of The Year” for his song “Bungerigo” which features Rockcity Kurt and Nambawan. He was given a cash price of GHC5000.00 and a whole year’s supply of products from Happy Man Bitters as a package attached to that win.
Meanwhile, he is readying a ‘Thank You’ concert in May, to appreciate his fans for their unflinching support.
