The 6th edition of the highly anticipated Happy Man Bitters – Miss Upper East Ghana took center stage at the Gnat Hall in Bolgatanga on January 1, 2024, and it was nothing short of a spectacular success.
Aburinya Rebecca Awenpami, popularly known as Apagmi, emerged as the shining star, claiming the prestigious title of Miss Upper East Ghana 2023. The grand finale, a celebration of the region’s rich cultural heritage, showcased Apagmi’s grace, beauty, and eloquence, earning her not only the coveted crown but also the title of Miss Culture.
The competition featured fierce talent, with Atipogbila (Bolgatanga Municipal) as the first runner-up and Awinpangbe (Bawku West District) as the second runner-up, delivering noteworthy performances.
Established in 2018, Miss Upper East Ghana continues to serve as a vital platform for celebrating and promoting the cultural values and heritage of the region while empowering young women with essential life skills.
Apagmi’s triumph came with an additional reward—a brand new Chevrolet Spark 2010 Model, the official prize for the winner. The night also featured category awards, with Awinpangbe earning the title of Miss Eloquent, and Apagmi receiving Miss Culture, Best Project Task Two, and Miss Photogenic.
