Fancy Gadam Is My Brother – Maccasio

Ghanaian rapper and songwriter, Maccasio was on TV3 Ghana’s ‘New Day Show’ on February 7, 2024 to promote his upcoming concert scheduled for Saturday at the Bukom Boxing Arena. While the main aim was to promote the concert, he responded to a few questions from the host.,

One of them was that, he put to rest any rumors of discord with his northern counterpart, Fancy Gadam. In the interview with Naa Ashorkor,  Maccasio clarified that any perceived ‘beef’ between them is merely speculation from fans and does not reflect the true relationship between the two artists.

Maccasio emphasized that Fancy Gadam is “just like a brother” to him, and both artists are dedicated to promoting music in the Northern sector. He highlighted the differences in their musical styles, with Fancy Gadam being a singer and himself a rapper, stating that there is no basis for conflict between them.

While Maccasio asserted his claim as “the king of the North,” citing the success of his Tamale stadium concert on December 31, 2023, where he boasted of achieving full capacity attendance, he maintained that the rivalry is centered around establishing dominance in the Northern music scene.

Maccasio’s upcoming concert at the Bukom boxing arena, featuring other artists from the Northern Region, further underscores his commitment to showcasing the talent and vibrancy of the Northern music scene.
