Celebrity Blogger Sammy Kay Arrested: Legal Woes Unfold Amid Allegations of Explicit Content Publication
In a surprising turn of events, Samuel Dortey Kumah, popularly known as Sammy Kay, a well-known celebrity blogger, has found himself entangled in legal troubles culminating in his arrest and subsequent handover to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service.
The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) issued a statement on November 16, 2023, shedding light on the allegations against Sammy Kay. According to the statement, the blogger stands accused of publishing sexually explicit material and the unauthorized use of images belonging to the Cyber Security Authority.
Quoting the statement, it was revealed that “Samuel Dortey Kumah, owner of Sammykaymedia, stands accused of circulating sexually explicit content and misusing images of Cyber Security Authority officials. Consequently, he has been apprehended and transferred to the CID.”
Underlining the severity of the situation, the Cyber Security Authority cautioned against the dissemination of explicit content and clarified their disassociation from such material. They urged the public to disregard any potentially criminal misrepresentation.
