Allegations of Money Rituals Cast Shadow Over Fancy Gadam’s Career
Tamale, Ghana – Renowned Ghanaian media personality Halik Musah, known in the media as Mr. Tell or Adugali, has made startling allegations against the multiple award-winning singer Fancy Gadam. According to Mr. Tell, the popular artist is implicated in the ritualistic killing of children to amass wealth and fame.
The allegations refer to tragic incidents involving Fancy Gadam’s entourage and performances. In June 2018, a vehicle in Fancy Gadam’s convoy tragically lost control and collided with another vehicle. The convoy was en route to welcome Nigerian star Patoranking for a concert at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale.
The accident reportedly resulted in eight fatalities and numerous injuries. Among the deceased were two staff members of the entertainment company Zylofon. The incident prompted Fancy Gadam to cancel the concert and led to a ban on events at the stadium by Ghanaian authorities.
Expressing his grief, Fancy Gadam took to Facebook on June 29, 2018, stating, “My heart is heavy right now. Words can’t describe how I feel. I am sorry to announce to you that my show with Patoranking scheduled to come off tomorrow has been postponed indefinitely… I can’t lose my fans and still have the heart to stage a show.”
This wasn’t the first incident linked to the singer. In July 2016, a stampede during Fancy Gadam’s performance at a community center in Asawase, Kumasi, reportedly led to the deaths of nine people. Mr. Tell suggests these recurrent tragedies are not mere accidents but deliberate acts for ritualistic purposes.
During his show on Radio Tamale on June 20, 2024, Mr. Tell recounted the story of Jeff, a bereaved father from Tamale, whose child died in one of the incidents. According to Mr. Tell, Jeff still mourns his loss and feels abandoned by Fancy Gadam, who has allegedly ignored their calls for support post-funeral.
“These instances are not normal,” Mr. Tell asserted. “He used those people for rituals.”
The allegations have sparked outrage and concern among fans and the general public. As the accusations gain traction, there is an increasing demand for a thorough investigation to either substantiate or refute these claims.
Fancy Gadam, known for his influence in the Ghanaian music scene, has not yet responded to these grave accusations. As the community awaits his response, the debate continues to rage over the ethical and moral implications of these allegations.
