Upper West Creative Art (UWeCA) Awards is an award scheme which focuses on recognizing,awarding and projecting creatives in the region by Whitespot Events, an event planning team in the Upper West Region.
In 2022 which happens to be the 3rd edition since the scheme emerged, we saw a lot of Creatives filled in their nominations in the various Creative categories. Categories like, Best Musician of the year, Sound Engineer of the year, New discovery art of the year, model of the year, DJ of the year, best entertainment host of the year, actor/actress of the year, best video of the year, best video director of the year, Blogger/Promoter of the year and many intriguing categories.
Notwithstanding, the scheme spelt out promises on few categories aside awarding them with plaques, hampers and accessories. Musician of the year was promised to feature a Musician from South, Sound Engineer was also Promise to receive one(1) week training session with one of the greatest sound engineer of our time who lives in Accra, the capital of Ghana with additional free plugins and Popular Song of the year winner to have a free record with one of the best sound engineer in town.
Few months after the awards night, Best Gally who is the Musician of the year reveled his collaboration with Keche which he said will be part of his album and ascribed the collaboration to UWeCA award scheme.
Yesterday on the official Facebook page of the award scheme, they made a post which indicates that their Promise of the Musician of the year to feature a national Musician has come to pass as the took a screenshot of the song playing which Best Gally ft Keche.
This confirms the revelation Best Gally did concerning his collaboration with the said Musicians.
Also, the sound engineer slot to receive one week training session with a sound engineer in Accra is still available as the winner of the category still prepares himself for this session likewise the popular song of the year slot. The winner is yet to have that record at his own time.
Considering these, one can confidently give the award scheme its fullest percentage as they have fulfilled their promises.
Henceforth, following their stuffs on social media platforms, they have announced the fourth edition of the scheme which will be happening this year. They urge all creatives and entertainment lovers to keep eyes on their pages in order not to skip any process of this year’s award process and they promised it’s going to be mega as more packages will be giving to their winners.
