Kofi Kinaata And Kwesi Arthur Turned Down Our Collaboration Requests – Keche

Multiple award-winning Ghanaian music Duo, Keche made up of Joshua Kojo Ampah and Andrew Kofi Cudjoe have mentioned that their colleagues Kofi Kinaata and Kwesi Arthur are among the artistes who have turned down their collaboration requests.

Joshua Kojo Ampah stated that Kofi Kinaata agreed to give them a verse but when they recorded their verses and sent the song to him to record his verse, he didn’t get back to them.

“Kwesi Arthur and Kofi Kinataa are part of them. I know this will blow up. We sent him [Kofi Kinaata] music but he didn’t even respond,”

Keche Joshua responded to a question on the kind of approach they used, by saying that they had a beautiful relationship with him hence it was needless for them to drive to Takoradi or send the song to him in a formal means.

“The relationship we have with him dates back to the times when we’ve performed for him at his Made in Takoradi concert for a token,” he indicated

According to the Duo on Class Showbiz with Sammy Flex, several calls were made to the celebrated songwriter but all proved abortive.

“I called him and I had convinced Andrew to let us feature Kinataa, he agreed but we called him like three times and he just ignored it,” he said.

Keche won the ‘Group Of The Year award at the 22nd Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) which was held at the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Center (AICC) on Friday, June 25th, 2021.

They again won ‘Best Group’ at the 4th Ghana Entertainment Awards USA which was held on Friday night, July 8 into the early hours of Saturday, July 9, 2022.
