Efya Nokturnal, the sensational award-winning songstress, has finally opened up about her long hiatus from the music scene, revealing that she was nursing a broken heart.
Efya was once the queen of Ghanaian music, but for a while now, her absence from the limelight had sparked rumors and speculations about her alleged drug use. However, in a recent interview with AJ Sarpong, the “Best in Me” hitmaker set the record straight.
The singer poured her heart out, revealing that her emotional turmoil had affected her singing abilities. She decided to take a break from music and stay away from the public space to heal her heart.
“I was heartbroken that I didn’t want to sing,” Efya confessed. “You know I’m a baby girl, so the way I feel matters to me a lot, and it wasn’t something I wanted to deal with at that time.”
After 15 years of continuous work without a break, Efya decided to take time off and recharge her batteries. But with her talent and dedication to music, fans can expect the “Janesis” album maker to come back stronger and better.
